Welcome to the AHWA's Australian Shadows Awards page. Each year an award will be presented to the best work of horror fiction
(in English) published by an Australian or Australian resident in Australia or overseas.
A shortlist of works, be they short story or novel length (including collections and/or anthologies) will be selected by a panel of three judges and
presented to that year's Guest Judge for selection of the winner. The shortlisted entries will be announced on this
website in February of each year following judging.
